The National Parks Project

The National Parks Project

"Beautiful!"  "Stunning"

National Parks Project conducted by Parks Canada. For the project, groups of musicians and filmmakers went to a national park in each province and documented their experience in the form of music and film.

But what goes into making such a beautiful project? Documents held by the government are public resources and in 2010 the Access to Information Act was used to acquire notes about the production trip to Wapusk National Park in northern Manitoba. Specifically,

"A copy of documents pertaining to musician Sam Roberts and his visit to the Wapusk National Park"

These documents give some insights into how such a beautiful project was produced.
