CanadaRight to Know Week 2009, National Townhall Meeting From September 28th to October 2nd, 2009, in Ottawa, a series of events was organized by the Office of the Information Commissioner to mark "Right to Know" week. The purpose of Right to Know (RTK) Week is to raise awareness about people's right to access government information while promoting freedom of information as essential to both democracy and good governance. The first session on September 28th was a National Town Hall to examine Citizens' Engagement and State Accountability.
